Our Major fundraising efforts are in support of our building,
“The Cymbria Community Center.”
Our Major focus is on Diabetes, Eyesight, and Children/Youth Projects
In last 5 years we have invested over $85,000 in building upgrades.
In last 5 years we have made over $25,000 in medical donations to over 150 individuals in our community, out of a base of only 500 households in our service area.
In the last 5 years we have also donated over $65,000 to various individuals, organizations & groups within our community & all of PEI, such as Kidney foundation, CNIB, QEH, Prince County Hosp., Easter Seals, Canadian Cancer Society, Special Olympics, Joyriders, Camp Gencheff, Lions Dog Guide School, & Many More. We have also raised with the community, over $65,000 from benefits held for needy community members.

- Six members have received the highest award in Lionism
- “The Melvin Jones Award”, named for our International Founder.
- These members are Lions Dennis Gallant, Francis Gallant & Edwin Gallant,
- George Gallant, Eric Gallant, & Norman Coffin.
- In 2000 we initiated a Memorial Forest in our playground and have planted three trees for deceased Lions, Benji Gallant, Art Peters, & Louis Peters, and Bob Doucette
- Some recent projects:
- A new computer for a special needs child & family
- A contribution towards a special wheelchair for a youth to play wheelchair basketball
- Benefit Dances for a Fire Victim, and community members with serious illnesses.
- Presented a Life Membership in LCIF foundation for Dr Ellis, a former doctor of the area.
- Built Mini-Barns for Habitat for Humanity, as well as assist in a house build.
